Il dottor Matteo Rocco Pastore è responsabile dell’Unità Semplice di Medicina Generale a indirizzo diabetologico, endocrinologico e malattie del ricambio Presso l’Unità Operativa di Medicina generale a Indirizzo diabetologico ed endono-metabolico dell’IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele diretta dal professor Emanuele Bosi.
Dopo la laurea in Medicina e chirurgia nel 1986 presso la Università degli Studi di Milano, si specializza in Diabetologia nel 1989 e in Endocrinologia nel 2004 rispettivamente presso la stessa Università e presso l’Università Vita-Salute del San Raffaele.
Per quanto riguarda l’attività clinica, il dottor Pastore lavora come Internista presso la Divisione di Medicina Generale ad indirizzo diabetologico ed endocrino-metabolico e presta attività di consulenza specialistica in diversi reparti dell'ospedale. Svolge inoltre attività clinica ambulatoriale in diabetologia con particolare dedizione e competenza nella cura del diabete di tipo 1.
Svolge attività di ricerca nell'ambito della predizione e prevenzione del diabete mellito di tipo 1 e delle sue complicanze quale co-principal investigator del protocollo di ricerca internazionale TrialNet.
È autore e coautore di più di 50 pubblicazioni su riviste scientifiche di settore e capitoli di libri. Il suo H index è 11 (WoS). Partecipa costantemente a congressi nazionali ed internazionali del settore.
