Il professor Adriano Lazzarin è Professore Onorario all’Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele e Consulente presso l'Unità di Malattie Infettive dell'IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele Turro. Inoltre presta servizio presso la Casa di Cura La Madonnina di Milano.

Il suo percorso formativo inizia nel 1970, anno in cui si laurea in Medicina e Chirurgia all’Università degli Studi di Milano. Si specializza in Endocrinologia alla Università di Genova (1974). Presso l’Università degli Studi di Milano, ottiene prima la specializzazione in Medicina Interna (1979), poi in Malattie Infettive (1982).

Dal 1987 è Principal Investigator e coordinatore in molteplici gruppi di ricerca sull’HIV e sull’epatite. Ha conseguito il premio “Excellence in HIV Medicine” conferito dall’European AIDS Conference (EACS). È membro di commissioni sulla salute in ambito nazionale e internazionale.

È autore di oltre 800 articoli scientifici pubblicati su New England Journal of Medicine, The Lancet, Blood, Nature, Hepatology, AIDS, Journal of Infectious Diseases, Clinical Infectious Diseases, Science, Annals of Internal Medicine, Annals of Oncology, Journal of Neurology Journal of Neurovirology e Journal of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndromes.
